The Venue

Venue: Mogallywood ( Manhaarand, Magaliesburg)

 

Accommodation

There will be huge amounts of space for festival goers to camp and the bands will have a specified camping area (close to their equipment).
The band members will also be given food and drink vouchers.
There will also be toilets and plenty of water!

DIRECTIONS

Route One - From Johannesburg Northern Suburbs

  1. Take Beyers Naude (ex-DF Malan) north past Honeydew.
  2. Take the N14 highway (extension of R28), towards Krugersdorp
  3. At traffic lights turn RIGHT onto the N14.
  4. Follow N14 for 10km until T-junction (opp. Oak Tree Garage).
  5. Turn RIGHT and follow for +/- 800m and then take LEFT FORK to Ventersdorp / Tarlton (also the N14). Do NOT go straight on the Hekpoort Road unless you know the route.
  6. Follow N14 for 10km until 4-way stop.
  7. Turn right at 4-way stop onto R24.
  8. Follow R24 to Magaliesburg.
  9. At the 2nd railway in Magaliesburg, go right on the R24 towards Rustenburg.
  10. Take the Marikana turn-off to the right, just AFTER the Old Post Pub and Maanhaarrand Post Office.
  11. Travel 2,6Km on the Breedts Nek dust road and turn right at the Hekpoort Road
  12. Follow the road for 1km up to the Eskom Pylon
  13. Turn left to the mountain and then take road left through gate showing vd Linde Bokmakierie.
  14. Never turn left, proceed 2km will take you to yellow sign Private Property, proceed slowly to sign and turn right at the gate, now you are on our land, proceed and take right road to Bobejaanslus.
  15. Pass the second house and find parking space under the trees.

Route Two

  1. Take the R512 (past Lanseria).
  2. At the Broederstroom T-junction turn LEFT.
  3. Go to Hekpoort on the R560 and continue to the T junction at the R24 and turn right to Rustenburg
  4. Take the Marikana turn-off to the right, just AFTER Old Post Pub and Maanhaarrand Post Office.
  5. Travel 2,6Km on the Breeds Nek dust road and turn right at the Hekpoort Road
  6. Follow the road for 1km up to the Eskom Pylon
  7. Turn left to the mountain and then take road left through gate showing vd Linde Bokmakierie.

Route Three

(Not recommended. It crosses Breedt's Neck Pass which is seldom in good condition)

  1. Take the R512 (past Lanseria).
  2. At the Broederstroom T-junction turn LEFT.
  3. After Pecanwood turn RIGHT at the SUN-CITY / BRITS turn-off.
  4. At the T-junction turn RIGHT towards BRITS / SUN CITY.
  5. At the 4-way stop (ENGEN on right) turn LEFT towards SUN CITY.
  6. Follow this road for about 38km past Majakaneng, Mooinooi and Buffelspoort.
  7. After Buffelspoort turn LEFT at the 3-way stop.
  8. After about 10km turn LEFT towards MAANHAARRAND Route past Utopia and Mountain Sanctuary Park.
  9. Go over Breedt’s Nek Pass (This road is not always in good condition)
  10. Turn left at Hekpoort Road
  11. Follow the road for 1km up to the Eskom Pylon.
